Native-Tennessean-turned-Floridian, Lauren is one part deep thinker + two parts glitter bomb. She values creative expression and dedicated self-expansion with a perpetual hankerin’ for fudgy brownies and a mind keen to understand the complexities of the universe. Forever a seeker and maker, Lauren can be found partaking in any number of creative endeavors: writing, painting, drawing, photography, spinning yarn, knitting, and anything else she finds herself distracted by. Purl & Ponder is her little public space to share her wanderings, engage with the artistic process, and wrestle with the meaning of life.

When she’s not writing about herself in the third person, Lauren can be found knitting in front of a beautifully adapted Jane Austen film, photographing wild mushrooms in the woods surrounding her home, or rummaging through a cozy yarn shop in London. You know, just happily living out significance in a million insignificant ways.
