Meet Lauren ….

Native Tennessean-turned-Floridian, Lauren is one part Backyard Therapist and two parts Artist, with liberal dashes of mindful authenticity, a search for adventure, and seeking to understanding the world, humanity, and the meaning of it all.

Lauren has always been a seeker, deep thinker, and creator — writing, painting, drawing, photography, fiber arts and anything else sparkly enough to attract her attention. Purl & Ponder is her little space on the internet to share her wandering and wondering “aloud”, a place to share her work, her artistic process, and the hardships and personal peacemaking efforts inherent in the journey of life. Lauren is a disorganized shoebox of glittered imagination, love of authentic storytelling, and deep thoughts — on a mission to illuminate light, love, and the gentle art of Becoming.

When she’s not writing about herself in the third person, Lauren can be found knitting in front of a beautifully adapted Jane Austen film, photographing wild mushrooms in the woods, or rummaging through a cozy yarn shop in London.
